In order to safely apply eyelash extensions, you should meet the following physical requirements:
- Keen eyesight (both acuity and depth perception)
- Good dexterity and steady hands
- Good visual-spatial ability

To secure certification from Lavish Lashes, you must demonstrate evidence of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) certification. For example, a cosmetology license that includes IPC training, a diploma from a certified IPC program, or specific IPC certification from a recognized health or beauty institution would be acceptable proof. This requirement ensures that you uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the beauty, medical, or dental industry. This involves showcasing your understanding of the core principles and theories of lash extensions. Not only that, you need to show that you can safely and consistently apply these extensions. And remember, you'll be doing this demonstration on a real live model. This hands-on experience ensures you're ready to apply what you've learned in a real-world setting.

Client Intake & Consent Form
Protect your business with a client intake and consent form. This sets clear expectations with your client. Also, this form will help choose which clients are good candidates for lash extensions and those that aren’t.

Removal of Contacts
For their comfort and safety, clients should remove their contacts before lash application. Make sure to have extra contact cases and solution on hand for clients.

Providing an Aseptic Environment
This is crucial for providing a service. All surfaces and tools should be disinfected and sanitized between clients. Be sure to follow your states' guidelines.

Weight Tolerance
Select appropriate sized extensions for your client's natural lashes, including thickness and length. Adding too much weight to the natural lash may increase risk of damage.

Perfect Attachment to Base of Lash
For good retention, make sure your bases are perfectly attached to the lash. Check to make sure the base isn't lifted and/or touching other natural lashes or extensions.
